I love the theme and images we are creating for our midterm piece so far. The writing of Poe is so dark and twisted yet he finds a way to make what he is doing seem normal. I am also fascinated by Poe's personal life, what kind of guy has such an obsession with death and how does it affect him.
I think the challenge for this piece is going to be finding a direction. We all have so many great ideas and images that we want to play with I am very interested to see how we somehow bring those all together and formulate a piece that is captivating and showcases our abilities best.
I like that we are all starting with Poe stories because that gives us some focus and I love what Kara was saying about the opening piece. I am looking forward to seeing the process we take and how we work together still ensuring everyone's voice is heard as well as compromising to include everyone's ideas.
